Special Educational Needs and Disabilities at Sandhurst Primary School

At Sandhurst Primary School we believe in excellent progress and experiences for all in a safe and caring environment

In addition, at Sandhurst Primary School, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment where everyone is made to feel welcome and encouraged to be actively involved in their own learning. We believe that all children should access high quality learning experiences which include a broad and balanced curriculum, relevant and differentiated to their individual needs. We strive to be an inclusive school, reducing barriers to learning and enabling each child to maximise his or her learning potential. We value the achievements of all members of Sandhurst Primary School and it is important to us that children experience success in order to foster self-esteem and a positive attitude to learning. Fundamental to this is a partnership between the school and parents/carers.

We have an array of resources, expertise and knowledge to support many children depending on their special need or disability. We have a team of support staff that assist children with either small group work, 1 to 1 interventions, various therapies or programmes and a general sense of well-being and inclusion.
